Sinister Realm Returns With World of Evil

After two amazing classically-styled heavy metal albums that were each greeted with widespread critical acclaim, Allentown, PA trad-metallers are back with World of Evil. The band's third full-length album shows no sign of weakness where songwriting and energy are concerned. This is fist pumping heavy metal with big catchy choruses, doomy at times, and all around quality and memorable heavy metal album. Fans of Dio, Heaven and Hell, Candlemass, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden will absolutely love this album.

A video for the title track is now playing at this location.

World of Evil will be available worldwide August 6th through Shadow Kingdom Records.

Pre-orders are available at www.store.shadowkingdomrecords.com.

Channeling the spirit of early 80's metal icons like Dio and Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, with an added epic doom metal influence from Candlemass, Allentown, Pennsylvania-based Sinister Realm was formed in 2008 by John Gaffney (former Pale Divine) and Darin McCloskey (Pale Divine, Falcon). They quickly found vocalist Alex Kristof and recorded a four song demo that drew the attention of various independent labels. After signing with Shadow Kingdom Records a live band was assembled and a full-length album was released in August of 2009. Press from around the world hailed the debut album a success and Sinister Realm began actively playing live to support the album. Not long after the album's release Chris Metzger and John Risko joined the band and work began on the sophomore album titled The Crystal Eye. In the summer of 2013, Sinister Realm will release World of Evil through Shadow Kingdom Records. All hail Sinsiter Realm! The true defenders of American Steel.

THE PETE FLESH DEATHTRIP: Selections from Mortui Vivos Docent Now Streaming

Swedish death metal guru Pete Flesh of THE PETE FLESH DEATHTRIP (previously known as FLESH) has made three tracks from his forthcoming release, Mortui Vivos Docent available for streaming.

Album tracks "Fallen Bliss," "The Suicide End" and "Crave the Fire" are available for online consumption at this location.

Proving once again with a flair for discordant Death Metal obscurity, Mortui Vivos Docent truly exceeds all of Mr. Flesh's previous releases; the iniquitous vibe is clearly more evident and with blasphemous intent reeking in pure ominous fashion. With the abhorrent artwork and layout designed and conceptualized by Erik Sahlström (Crucifyre, General Surgery, etc), "Mortui Vivos Docent" was recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio Beast, Sweden, by Peter Bjärgö (Tyrant, Crypt Of Kerberos, ex-Vinterland, etc). The dead shall guide the living in all eternal pyre!

Mortui Vivos Docent is set for a July 23rd North American release on Pulverised Records.

The Pete Flesh Deathtrip is the crypt and dungeon of Pete Flesh (ex-Deceiver, ex-Maze Of Torment, ex-Thrown). The project started through a strong vision in late 2001. After three albums and an extended creative hiatus, the fourth album, entitled Mortui Vivos Docent, is in progress. This time, the recording took place in Studio Beast with Peter Bjärgö (Tyrant, Crypt Of Kerberos) as producer and Andreas Jonsson (Tyrant, The Black, Vinertand) as the new session drummer. The album is being released on Pulverised Records.

Shadow Kingdom Records To Release NIGHT DEMON Self-titled EP

On August 6th, Shadow Kingdom Records will release the self-titled four-song EP from NWOBHM-inspired upstarts NIGHT DEMON.

This California trio, featuring members of THE FUCKING WRATH, first started making noise in 2011. It didn't take long for the band to make a name for themselves with trad-metal maniacs from across the globe. In fact, shortly after establishing an online presence via Bandcamp, the organizers of Germany's Keep It True Festival offered NIGHT DEMON a place on the fest's 2014 line-up.

British metallic stylings reminiscent of Angel Witch, Raven and Iron Maiden are kicked into overdrive with an edgier and gritter dose of American venom. Consider NIGHT DEMON mandatory listening for any NWOBHM fan. The Shadow Kingdom Records CD release is remastered from the digital version and offers an undeniably superior sound.

A video for the song "Night Demon," filmed, directed and produced by the band, is now playing at this location.

Pre-orders are available at www.store.shadowkingdomrecords.com.

From the bowels of Birmingham, England comes grindcore trio PURIFY THE HORROR.On July 30th of this year, the band will unleash a plague of savagery and chaos in the form of their untitled debut EP. To ensure the infection spreads as far as possible, the band is giving the release away as a free digital download.

Their identities hidden, but their agenda blatantly obvious, PURIFY THE HORROR have captured the true essence of grindcore with this offering of unbridled chaos. As a warning of things to come, PURIFY THE HORROR has taken over PureGrainAudio.com and uploaded the track "PIG" to the site's servers. Fans of the extreme and innocent bystanders are welcome to download the song free of charge (mental and physical tolls notwithstanding) at this location

The band's untitled debut EP is a 17-minute long celebration of sensory depravity propounded by a vile concoction of filthy riffage, blast-beats and a dual vocal attack which will leave you asking yourself, "What the fuck were they thinking?"

Metal Hammer Magazine Debuts Lyric Video for REVOLUTION HARMONY's "We Are"

Metal Hammer Magazine has posted the exclusive premier of the lyric video for 'We Are,' the All-Star charity single from REVOLUTION HARMONY featuring Serj Tankian, Ihsahn and Devin Townsend.

The single, which will go on sale July 18th with proceeds going to Buskaid, was debuted last week on Kerrang Radio to widespread acclaim. The debut of the lyric video gives fans a chance to gain a deeper understanding of the song's message.

Metal Hammer has posted the lyric video at this location.

Revolution Harmony, the brainchild of British music lecturer/journalist Ray Holroyd, has announced the July 18th release of its debut All-Star charity single, 'We Are.'

Composed, arranged, programmed and produced by Ray Holroyd in Vancouver, the complex international studio project was recorded in North America, England, Norway and New Zealand, then mixed by Rohan Onraet (Slipknot, Machine Head) in London, and mastered by Ted Jensen (Green Day, Muse) in New York. The song features vocals from Serj Tankian (System Of A Down) and Ihsahn (Emperor), as well as guitar solos by Devin Townsend, along with Stefan Loh (We Claimed Sentience Once) on guitars, and additional vocals from the young up-and-coming UK singer Abbie Johnson.

The lyrical theme in 'We Are' is based on the concept behind Revolution Harmony, which is essentially the belief that musical harmony has the power to inspire a revolution towards societal harmony. The single is dedicated to Nelson Mandela and the memory of Lucky Dube, regarded as South Africa's Bob Marley, and will be released worldwide on Mandela Day (18 July), with all proceeds donated to Buskaid, a charity that provides free music lessons and instruments to children in the townships of South Africa.

Serj Tankian speaks about his involvement with Revolution Harmony: "It has been an absolute honor being involved with the Revolution Harmony project to bring much needed financial aid to Buskaid in South Africa. Music has saved my life and has the potential to create positive change in all those young kids struggling to make themselves heard and to survive." He continues on the single itself: "The song is a musical collage of complex yet moving colors intertwining genres and vibes."

Ray Holroyd comments: "Revolution Harmony is a dream come true, it's the perfect harmonious marriage of my two callings: making music and making a positive change in the world! 'We Are' is the first milestone for Revolution Harmony, and to share it with three of my musical heroes, Serj, Ihsahn and Devin, who all believe in my vision, is deeply heartwarming and humbling. These musicians are overflowing with talent and compassion, and I am eternally grateful and monumentally honoured to have had them contribute to my cause by singing and playing on a piece of my music. The goal for these All-Star charity singles is to raise significant funds for various smaller charities, by making/selling creative and meaningful music that features rare collaborations by inspirational artists."

Album of the Day: Relentless by Pentagram

This is re-release of the bands first album, Pentagram. Doom/Heavy Metal band Pentagram has been really under the radar for most of there career. But is a shame because this band makes some get music. The re-release came out in 1993. And the only difference between the two albums is the name and the track listing. But pretty much everything else is the same. This is my favorite album by this band. And if you like Doom Metal then you need to pick up with album ASAP!

Daily Album Review: In The Shadow of the Mighty by A Thousand Shall Fall

Distured's Frontman Producing Trivium Upcoming Album?

Yes it is true, David  Draiman is producing Trivium's new album. Is this a sign that Trivium will try to be more mainstream? Or is Trivium just trying to add a Big Name person to the albums so it can get more media attention?

Daily Album Reviewe: S/T EP by Corpseflesh

When I first started listening to this albumt, I was expecting too much from it. And I don't know when I am going to learn the lesson. This album was pretty good. It is a Brutal Death/Grind Metal album. I am not that big fan of Grind but I feel that this album leans more to the Death Metal than Grind.

Daily Album Review: Weight of the World by Carry Your Ghost

When ever I listen to a Metalcore album I just pray that is sounds different from every other Metalcore band out there, and most of the time my prays go unanswered. But with this band my prays were sorta answered.

They have to sound of Metalcore but to me the some a little different then a lot of the Metalcore band out there right now. And I started to like it. This album grew on me, I really didn't start liking the album till the 5th or 6th song on the first go around but on the second and third go try with this album I really started to like this album!

New U.D.O. guitarist confirmed!

We are very proud to officially announce our new band member ANDREY
SMIRNOV. It was a long search and we met a lot of talented musicians. But
at the end it was an easy decision since Andrey is the perfect fit for the
band (as a friend and as a musician). Everybody in the band and around is
very happy to have met Andrey just in perfect timing.

Andrey Smirnov (born December 31st, 1983) is the Russian rock musician,
multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter who is the lead vocalist,
guitarist, primary songwriter and founder of the Russian modern metal band
EVERLOST. He is also the session guitarist of Paul Di'anno, Blaze Bayley
(ex-Iron Maiden) and once was a part of famous Russian metal bands
Master, Epidemia and few others. Andrey is the well respected studio
musician. His major label releases only in 2012 consist of Everlost single,
famous Russian rock star Artur Berkut album, popular Soviet hair-metal
legend of the 80th Galaxy and his own solo album "Adrenaline". For most of
these albums Andrey worked as the sound-producer, arranger and guitarist.
Also, for the last few years Smirnov is touring guitarist of Russian retro-heroes
Zemlyane.

Andrey was with us in the studio recording the new album and was already a
very important part of team. His live debut with U.D.O. will be the US tour
scheduled for April. The band is really looking forward to come back to
their fans in the US after such a long time. Even better to present
something very special to the US fans now.

Is Black Sabbath Still Black Sabbath?

Bill Ward is not in the band... So is Black Sabbath still the same with out him. I don't think so! It is just strange that his is not apart of the band. He is one of the original members and he is not doing it because of money??

We at least he is being sorta up front about it. But the fact that Black Sabbath is not paying him enough is it there fault? or Bill's?

Metallica 3D movie? Why?

So this is sorta of old new, I guess by now. But why come out with a 3D movie Metallica? I am waiting for the next album not for you'r next movie. It is awesome that they are putting out in 3D. But unless the concert was shot with 3D cameras then I don't think that it is going to look that good... But then again I don't make films I just watch them.

Black Sabbath New Album and Recording Drummer

The Legendary BLACK SABBATH has set “13″ as the title of their new album. This is the group’s first LP with Ozzy since 1978 will be released in June though Vertigo/Universal Republic in the U.S. and Vertigo in all other territories.

The drum tracks on the CD were played by RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE drummer Brad Wilk following original drummer Bill Ward’s decision to not do the reunion. Osbourne, Tony Iommi (guitar) and Geezer Butler (bass) recorded the album primarily in Los Angeles with producer Rick Rubin.

Daily Album Review: Called to Rise by Oblivion

This is a very solid Death Metal album. It is getting a lot of great reviews from all over the place and this website is no exception! If you like Death Metal or you are trying to listen to some Death Metal music then you need to listen to this album!
